Scott is well regarded for his expertise in dispute resolution as well as commercial negotiations. As head of the litigation and dispute resolution team, clients regularly seek his strategic advice. Clients are attracted by his naturally approachable and practical nature.

Scott was admitted as a solicitor in 1990. He acts for clients in disputes involving companies, trusts, property, land & environment law, Trade Practices Act issues, intellectual property, professional indemnity, building & construction, employment, administrative law, insolvency, contracts and estate litigation. Scott has practised extensively in property and non-litigious commercial law. He also lectured in property law for nearly 15 years which is reflected in his ability to provide advice and solutions in a way that is easy for his clients to access and understand the value of. Scott is able to apply his broad knowledge, acquired through years of acting for property developers and small businesses in a number of industries, to handle any type of commercial dispute.

Scott has sat on the board of two ASX listed companies and a number of private companies. He draws on his first hand commercial experience to provide his clients with sensible advice in a practical and effective way.

Scott’s clients value his broad expertise and strong negotiating skills. He has a preference for seeking to achieve an early resolution of disputes and firmly believes that a litigated hearing should only be a last resort when all other avenues of resolving the dispute have been exhausted.

Scott is married with three children all at school and enjoys reading, cooking and dining.
