Jonathan is Managing Director of Harris Freidman and is a Business Law Specialist with over 30 years experience. Jonathan gives practical solutions to his clients in order to help them overcome obstacles.

He works closely with his clients and endeavours to protect their interests with pertinent advice and guidance. He attracts clients from a wide range of industries including property development, IT, dental, retailing, fashion, healthcare, internet and transport. Jonathan's clients value his commerciality, breadth of experience and personal attention.

He is experienced in a broad range of commercial transactions and specialises in business transactions and agreements, and estate planning. Over the years Jonathan has acquired skills that can only be achieved through experience and provides his clients that advantage.

Jonathan has a large estate planning practice and is consulted by wealthy families to help them plan and document the transfer of family assets and passing of control of their business structures. He has a particular interest in large family succession planning and asset protection. As Managing Director of the firm, Jonathan's practical understanding of business management enhances his advice.

He has a special interest in helping people who have a family member with an intellectual disability. He regularly speaks on estate planning to disability groups, including The Spastic Centre, The Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children, and Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia). He is Chairman of Woodbury Autism Education and Research which operates Woodbury School.

Jonathan is a past Chairman of LawAustralasia.


In his spare time...

Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family and boating and canoeing. He still wants to catch a huge fish and travel to Lake Como in Italy and to trek in the Himalaya.
